A photo of Window Rock Arch, located in the Window Mountains, 5 miles west of Santa Rosa, AZ on the Tohono O'Odham indian reservation.

In the "USAF underground", there was an alleged standing booty of $10,000 cash for anyone who filmed themselves flying through the arch; likely aircraft being the T-37 or T-38. Rumor is, a German AF pilot in an F-104 (when they were based at Luke AFB, AZ) has done it. Second rumor was double the $$$ if it was done inverted.

Hmmm... so do I have to join the air force, or can I take the 172 down and take care of business?

It MIGHT be careless or reckless, but I'm going off:

An altitude that would not endanger persons or property in the event of loss of power.

I say 110 through the arch is good enough!

No way that hole is big enough for 104!! What are the dimensions anyway?
21'9" wide by 13'6" tall for the aircraft. I wonder what the dimension of the opening are?

I say try to put a cirrus or a 300 through it!

It's about 55 feet tall by about 80+ feet wide.
