Window Arcing

I thought I'd share these. We had an A320 F/O windshield short out (arc) while at cruise at FL320. It shattered the outer layer of glass. Good job of the crew landing safely. Sorry about the poor lighting and picture quality. I only had my cell phone camera at the time.

Wow! Looks like one of our windows after a Route Clearance patrol.

That's crazy! I mean, I've seen photos of flight deck windows that were fractured due to a failed heating element, but they looked nothing like that. Surprisingly, the majority of those fractured windows were from the First Officer's side of the flight deck. I wonder why?
