My wife and I have been trying to have babies for about the last 3 1/2 years, with very little success. Well, I can finally say we are expecting. We had our first ultrasound last Thursday and have a due date of 27 January for our first-born. One in the oven, and we are very happy to have that!!!

Anyways...just thought I'd share...now where is that due date slider thingie????

OUT-FREAKIN-STANDING!!!! Congratulations, brotha!!! It'll change your life (in a very, VERY good way!!).

Best of luck. Keep us posted!!

All the best to you and yours. I have my 1st on the way Due 11-15-06. It seems the closer it gets the less time I have in the day...mmmmmmmm. But hey congrats.

Thanks everybody...she's 7 1/2 weeks now, and both of us are thrilled beyond belief. If anybody needs more information on infertility, my wife and I have become "novice experts", so feel free to ask away :) . No, the problem was not on my end, for those wondering :insane: .

Congrats and now you can look forward to her "cravings" and sleepless nights when baby comes and her making you suffer when she is the size of the goodyear blimp....but its all worth it.

CONGRATS txpilot!!!!!!! :nana2:

I wish your wife and you the smoothest of pregnancies. Hopefully you will enjoy yours as much as my wife and I enjoy our child ... Raymond's celebrating his first birthday today--they grow up so fast!

Well, here's the update I never wanted to post...my wife had a miscarriage. The little guy put up a fight, but did not make it. According to the doctors, it wasn't anything to do with the infertility...just one of those things.

The wife and I are very disappointed, but this was the farthest we've ever been. We thought we finally had it, but it wasn't to be. We are still going to try, but another in-vitro attempt will have to wait a while for monetary reasons.

We are both doing okay now...it was a rough time for a while there, but we are doing good now. We'll see what happens in the future...

Sorry to hear of your loss. It took many years for my wife and I to have our first child. Keep trying :) . It was when we stopped at the treatments that she got our son.

I am so sorry to hear that.

Miscarriage is a horrible experience to go through, my best to you both.

Sorry to hear about that. Happened to my wife the first time too, from what I was told, it's quite common for the womans first time. A month later she was pregnant again, now we have a 7 month old. Keep your chin up, she'll be pregnant again in no time!

Sorry to hear of your loss ... my wife's mother had trouble with pregnancy but was persistant enough to still have two kids ... hopefully things will work out next time around!
