Anybody havce experience with the Wichita FSDO doing a CFI Checkride there?

I am just digging for some dirt on the examiners. Any Kansas State people on here that can give me an idea?

Thanks

Hey DDog, I'll be moving to Wichita in a couple of months. I got a job with Flight Safety's Cessna Learning Center at ICT.

Cool, I am there quite often these days. I go into Yingling all the time and they are right across the street. Are you doing the Caravan training over there?

Looks like I will be instructing in the Citation Mustang. If not the Mustang, then the CE-500 series.

What have to the 525B job?
 If you are asking what happened to the 525B job, nothing really. I am just getting tired of living out of a suitcase. I've been married a year and my wife and I cannot plan anything due to my job. It will be nice to have a schedule in which I can rely. On my days off I won't have to stay within reasonable distance of the airport in case the boss calls wanting to go somewhere. I liked the company and the CJ3, but was just getting tired of the lifestyle.

Someone go wrangle that Caravan that my boss is looking at that Yingling is selling. Seriously, we'd appreciate some unbiased opinions on it; logbooks, fine tooth external and internal visual inspection, etc. N1259K 2002 C208B

I understand that. Congrats on the Flight Safety Job.

I'll be looking for a job here soon, you should let me know if your company needs a pilot. I'd be interested to hear about it. I have about 180 hours in the CJ3 and I'm typed and current in the 525.

Ryno.....when are you starting over there at Flight Safety?

The examiner I wanted to take my checkride with is doing something with the Mustang as well.

I might have to look you up after my ride on the 23rd.

Starting on Nov 28th

I found that in another thread after I asked. I get over there quite often so I am sure we will run into eachother at some point.

I found out who is doing my checkride today, so I am still hoping to get some information on him.

I was fortunate enough to get my CFI with an examiner in KC and I did my CFII in Topeka. I did have to go to the ICT FSDO for my MEI. I don't remember the guy's name, but if I heard the name again, I'd know it. Who is your ride with? I think there is some gal there named Karen and I've heard she's pretty good.

Also, ask PoeMan, he might be able to help you out too. I don't remember which rides he did there (if any), but I'm sure he wasn't that lucky! :)

Terry Eichleberger or something like that.

I will find out tommorow, we have another guy going for his ride with the same guy tommorow.

The CFII in Topeka was probably Ken Godfrey and he is my regular DPE for everything else. I have my CMEL ride with him on the 11th.

Yup, Godfrey was the guy in Topeka. I don't know the FSDO guy. At least you have some "bait" and hopefully get a pretty good gouge.

Don't know that person. I did my CFI with Jim lamb (I think that was his name). Everyone that failed with him hated him and everyone that passed loved him...

I passed, he was fair. We had spy files at K-State on all the guys down there (ICT FSDO) and the file I read on Jim was to the T! Even the oral stuff, kind of felt like the written test; ya know, study the answers, repeat the answers...

Just know your stuff (I mean know it, since it's your initial.)

I did my CFII with Ken Godfrey in Topeka like JDE so we can tell you about him too.

Just remember:
RELAX, don't do anyting aviation related the night before except get your stuff together and remember too...

You're Instructor wouldn't sign you off if you weren't ready.:insane:

I have flown with Ken 3 times now, so I am real comfortable with Ken in Topeka. I am supposed to get a spy sheet from one of our CFI's. She went to K State and says she has some, plus the guy doing his ride right now. I should get some decent information.

Thanks for the help.
