Whereabouts do you land?

Wow! Those Alaska pics are incredible! Here are mine....somehow, Southwest Ohio just doesn't compare....

Clermont County Airport (I69) where I work and train

Wow didn't know there was a JCer who lived so close...I fly out of Lebanon I68 sometimes but I'm doing my commercial at Hamilton right now. I frequent Lunken and Sporty's. Great airports

Haha, I knew that looked familiar.

I have landed my glider there twice (against my will ) during races from CCSC about 8 miles east of I68 (Waynesville, OH)

Actually I have flown into sporty's frequently and to tell you the truth it's one of the nicest airports I have been to. That picture doesn't do it justice.
I'm not arguing that. I was just talking about the ramp area in the pic, not the airport in general.

It is a little rough but then again it's been around forever.
That's how it looks in the pic.

The staff there are great.
That is great to hear!

I can't say anything negative about the airport at all.
But you agree that it is a little rough and old. Do you think it is possible that they have lived with it in that condition for so long that they don't even realize how bad it looks?

Anyhow, thanks for the PIREP! :)

The photos does not do justice to the fact it's up hill, has rising terrain at the end, and there are power lines on short final. :panic:

:yeahthat: I dont miss that airport at all. Not to mention the pesky winds that only seem to live there.

Yeayuh, Boulder traffick, this is, uh, Joe Johnson, er November 12abc, we're on a left...er...no...right final to runway thirty three left...

Any traffic please advise? Over.

RE: Cordova Muni....that's an airport?!?! :)
Yup, all 1800 feet of it. That's actually the road in and out of town to the right of it (it actually just leads to a bridge to nowhere). You taxi across the road to park. Last time I was there if you wanted fuel I was told you had to taxi towards town about a quarter mile.

You might want to check your picture again ... unless you land in the trees, to the left of the road!!:p

As for me, I'll have to see if I can find some pics of some recently frequented airports...

D'oh!

In my defense the one time I was in there I landed the other way. So in some part of my brain that made sense.
