Where would this get me at AMF?

200 turbine PIC (mostly caravan a little king air)
600 multi PIC (mostly baron/chieftan a little king air)

For now I'm still interested in single pilot stuff. Could I go straight to the 99 with that? I doubt I could get anything more than that but I don't know much about the company.

I would assume if it were possible to go straight to the 99 it would be one of the crappier runs that no one wants. What would be a realistic amount of flight time to expect per month initially? I've heard the average at AMF is 40...is it possible to get a run with more than that? Is it likely? Thanks.

If you're willing to go to SLC or Burbank you could go straight into the 99.

Talk with EatSleepFly, he's one one with the real low down. There's a 99 class starting on April 2nd or 9th I believe.

Yes, it's possible, depends on what the company needs at any given time.

Pretty much, at least for awhile. You could do whatever your seniority would allow, which initially would be whatever nobody else wants.

40-50 is probably a good average for the 99 runs out of SLC. We do have a higher time run in each of the airplanes: A 100+ hr/month 99 run, a 60ish hr/month 1900 run, and a 75ish hr/month Metro run. All are being flown by the senior pilot in each type, at least right now.

Best thing I can suggest is to apply online, and then call and ask for recruiting. 800-800-4538.

It's pretty neat to compare the trends at different companies. It seems that the senior guys at AMF are gunning for flight time, while the more senior folks at my company are gunning for pay (exceptions will be found at both companies, I'm sure). Interesting!

Thanks for the info. I fly for AirNet for now and I don't think I'd have much reason to leave for quite awhile unless something crazy happened and it looked like I'd never be able to upgrade to the Lear. It's just that there aren't many places where you could fly a bigger plane single pilot than AMF and there are a few things I really like about single pilot.

As far as pay/flight time is concerned, at my company the two seem to go hand in hand for the most part. If you have a run that gets a lot of flight time, it's sure to significantly boost your pay.
