Where should I go...

Ive got some good amount of time off this month in 4 day stretches and figure I oughta go somewhere...Any Suggestions? PS. Not a beach person.
 
Outer Banks and Kitty Hawk ... yeah it's a beach area but it's not a "beach" area if you know what I mean.

You also should check out the Cape Hatteras Light House ... lots of cool history out that way too.
 
NC is out of the picture. Been there and done that for many years.
Lemme add some qualifiers...

Ill be traveling alone
Just want to spend a day or so
Needs to have things near the airport to do or see (dont want to drive hours once i get there)
Ill be leaving on a Saturday nite from SDF and dont want to double connecting as I will be Nonreving or JSeatin'.
 
Ok ... how bout St. Louis. The Zoo and Art Museums are some of the best in the nation and they are free! And you could take Metro Link straight from the Airport to both as they are literally across the street from one another in Forest Park.
 
I'd agree with DC. You can take the Metro to pretty much anywhere you want to go. It's a GREAT city to visit!

Sounds like Vegas to me.
 
Ive been to DCA quite a bit recently, fly in there all the time. And Ive seen the sites...I might end up going there when its all said and done though.
 
I'd recommend against Orlando. But that just me.

If you're into music history, I'd go for either Nashville, Memphis or New Orleans. New Orleans also has the D-Day museum going for it. Chicago is always a good bet, too.
