I can not for the life of me find the composite moisture stability chart anymore. Have these charts been terminated?

They have one there, however, what you might be looking for is called a K-Index chart or a Lifted Index chart.

The composite chart is just a set of 3 or 4, all of which are found duat.com.


I went on www.duat.com (need a login) and found the lifted index, freezing level, precipitable... etc.

I went to duat and couldn't find them. I guess I'll go back and look harder

Ok I found them but the precipitable doesn't give the percentage of the previous average. The freezing level chart didn't give the various altitudes where it passes below freezing, it only gave the lowest.

I just noticed some of the charts have not been updated since March. Maybe they did stop using them. I would at least think a lifted index chart would be valuable enough to keep updating.

I have not really pulled up a lifted index chart since last summer, but I seem to remember always having a new chart available for each day.
