I'm at Mandalay Bay (Wave Pool), October 23rd through 27...

October through December are their busy months. There are quite a few conventions and trade shows in town that weekend too. Excalibur is $110 a night, maybe less.

Just realized even the cheapest hotel I could find on the strip (Luxor) costs more than roundtrip airfare for 2, and I'm not even flying on an LCC. Wowzers, busy week in Vegas I guess...

I think that was the case the second or third year of NJC. First year at the Bellagio I think. I just remember walking off the monorail across the street and being mobbed by a drunken herd of people who looked like they were headed to the beach going the other way.

That's what I usually do, but I'm actually going to be getting laid this year. We all pay for it one way or another, I guess.
