"The students may transfer to colleges or universities which offer the bachelor's degree in aviation science."

does this mean I have to major in aviation science? Because I wanted to major in a different major.

Also do i have to go to the schools they say they fully transfer my credits to or may I opt to go some place a cheaper money wise?

What they're saying is that the credits you take with them may not trasnfer to a true 4 year institution (although some may take them as electives; and don't everyone say Aviation Colleges ARE 4yr inst, I know I'll explain).

If you start at a 2 year school that has an aviation program and you don't want to get the associates or move on to a Bach in Aviation, then don't take any of the classes for the major. (Although a lot of them are pretty cool, Air Transport was SWEET at K-State).

Figure out what you would rather do besides fly (not too much any of us would rather do) adn major in that. Looking back I wish I would have spent one more year and done an engineering double major instead of doing my "Bach in Aviation Science-Pro Pilot w/ a minor in Business" in three years. (Had to throw that last part in there).

You'll find many posts on here helping you decide what to major in, the easy (fun/fast) way out, major in aviation.

Good Luck
(didn't think my answer would get that long)

If you want to major in something different you can. But you need to find out if the two schools are accredited with one another. If they are fully accredited, then they will (read: should) transfer and accept all of your credits. On the other hand, they may only pick and choose some of your credits to accept.

If you currently have credits from within the aviation program, another school may not accept those courses, but they hopefully would except GDR's. If they don't accept many or none of your credits, you will have to try to test out or take them over.
