What's going on at Spirit these days?

Haven't seen much on Spirit here lately, but they've been all over the news with 2 bankruptcies, pilot and flight attendant furloughs, and a lot of less than savory coverage.
How are things in the dispatch department?

Wishing everyone there the best and hoping the airline can turn it around.

I flew Spirit recently. The front line employees were all really nice, friendly, and professional. They're trying their best despite not knowing how much longer they'll have a job. It was the first time I was on a flight that did a rejected landing, if that's the right term. It wasn't just a go-around. We hit the ground and immediately went airborne again, back in the pattern for a 2nd attempt on the other runway. It was like we bounced off the runway, but at least they didn't try to set it down again and risk breaking the fuselage in half like United in Houston a few years ago.. After we landed the cabin busted out in a round of applause. I guess the Spirit crew earned their pay on that landing!

I guess not enough people on board paid the "land on the first try" fee.

I’m praying to Jody for all of you going through this at spirit
While the situation is not good, it is fairly good timing that all three legacies posted right around the same time as the situation really started going downhill at Spirit. I would imagine a decent amount of attrition to all 3 over the coming months. That may save some of the junior folks from furlough.

lost a lot of good dxers and friends with the furloughs... not as much attrition as you think with the big 3.. but I hope we can recall a few in the future. I personally want to stay in FL so I hope we survive. the ceo seems to be making all the right moves but time will tell. I'm sure the government shutdown doesn't help things either.. I'm thankful I didn't get furloughed but it means I have to adapt to an overnight line from being a morning person for most of my career. We at spirit will survive.
