What would you suggest me?

I'm a 18 years old student in Italy, and I will graduate school in 2012 (next scholastic year) but I'm already looking for my future in my free time.
I will probably get a FAA PPL during summer plus 60 hours for a total flight time of 100 hours.
After graduate school I would move definitely to USA to study.
I'm looking for a 4 year bachelor's degree in any faculty (preferably in Business Administration if it schouldn't be an aviation related degree).
Keep in mind that I'm a non US resident, I'm italian, and this means I will pay out of state or international tuitions.

  1. After finished school, and once gained a FAA PPL, go to any college or university, study, and during summers get the others rating, or dedicate a summer for ATP's fast track program;
  2. Choose for an aviation related degree with no flight training, but not as much expensive as ERAU or other sorts like it.
  3. Go to a college and get an associate degree in aviation, and then do the last two years.
How much does university + flight training (including CFI, CFII and MEI) on my own cost?
How much does the path number 2 cost? And the number 3?

I noticed that Aerosim, formerly known as Delta Connection Academy, has 2 two years program and a four year bachelor's degree. What can you tell me about these programs and their price?

Do you have other reccomandations?

I like the area of Atlanta, Memphis, California or Texas.

Sorry, path number 2 is aviation related degree with flight training; I don't know how I could write "no".

So, I've just done a bit of research this evening, and I found out that path number 1 is quite expensive, especially for a non-state-residend or international students, so let's forget about it for the moment!
Now, I'm looking for paths number 2 and 3.
I have just few question, then you can send me all the infos you want.
1) Does it matter if I will be a PPL holder at the moment of the application?
2) After an Associate Degree can I continue to study other two years to get a four year bachelor's degree?

Then, I found out Kansas State university, which seems to have a nice aviation program, really interesting!

What about http://www.mgc.edu/aviation/? It seems uite good and at the same time at a good price.
Another one which interests me is Arizona State University, what about this one?

Getting your PPL before you come to the states would probably be more expensive because the cost of a PPL is most likely higher in Italy and also, most schools will make you pay for a class that you have to take if you already have a PPL in which you demonstrate your abilities.
 
Oh, sorry that I didn't specificate it, I would get my FAA PPL in Texas, at Skymates. I'm looking for the FAA & JAA Program, and the total hours will be more or less 100.
 
I'm just 15, I'm graduating in 2013 and I have looked in to my future very thoroughly..
The CHEAPEST and SAFEST way to do it would be to study in any university in the U.S. that has an FBO 5-10 minutes away and get a bachelor's degree in a general field, (like business administration or if you are interested in any other major except flight choose whichever) and fly on the side at your local FBO. Finish flight training in the first two years of your college education and for the rest of the two instruct to gain hours. By getting this type of degree you can support yourself and your future family if you get furloughed or you lose your medical. This option would cost around 130,000$.
The other way you could do it is a rather more expensive route, but this one seems to be perfect for me.
Study in an aviation university like Purdue, University of North Dakota, Embry-Riddle (The 3 biggest and most known in the US) and finish up. If you have 200,000$ in your pocket, have no other profession you would EVER like to do, no other possible major you would enjoy, take this route. Remember a Professional Flight degree or an Aeronautical Science degree can get you NO OTHER JOB except flying a plane.

Try to avoid large loans cause they will really affect you when you are a F.O. making 20,000$ a year.

Why would I take route 2? Because I will have the money, I would hate to do another job and I wouldn't major in anything else except aviation. If I get furloughed I would rather flight instruct than have to work in a cubicle.
You might say "When you have a family your thoughts will change"! Well I don't care, this is the route I want and choose.

Do you know something about K-State for International Students? And what about Utah State College and Vaughn College?
I haven't $180-200$, but I can spend 80-90K euro, wich would be more or less $130K.

What about the VISAs issues? Are you sure you will have the right to live and work in U.S.? I hope so both for me and you.

Yes I do, I live in Greece, we are neighbors actually. 130k you could go to UND, that's University of North Dakota which is a great school and you can do their aviation program.
As far as Visa's are concerned, I have no idea. I have dual citizenship, Greek and American so I don't need one. Contact your local US embassy and you can get more information. I Googled it and there is one in Rome, one in Florence, one in Milan and another one in Naples.
I also have no information about USC and Vuaghn.

Anybody knows something about Vaughn College, Utah State University and Middle Tennessee State University?
