Hey Guys,

Just thought it would be interesting to see what pilots fly what type. Ive always wondered how many guys on here fly the 747 or an A320 or any aircraft for that matter? When you say your aircraft type, also please what airline you fly for?

For mortgage and booze, today I fly the 767-300's and 757s.

But, I trained in a PA-38 Tomahawk, N2455C which is down in Australia somewhere now with a different registration.

I've flown the PA-38, PA-28-151/161/181/200R, C-150/152/172/182/310D, BE-76/55/95, BE-1900, B-727/737-200/757/767-300, MD-88/90, and a Beech T-34B.

For diaper money I fly Boeing 757/767's for Delta.

That I have flown?

Boeing: B767-300, B757-200, B717-200, 737-200

Embraer: EMB-145, EMB-135

Beech: Kingair C90B, Twin Bonanza (T-Bone), T-34B (my favorite :D)

Cessna: 150, 152, 172, 182, 310B, 310R, 402, T-41A, T-41C

Piper: Cherokee, Warrior, Tomahawk, Seminole, Seneca, Arrow II and IV

Champion: Citabria 7KCAB (my other favorite ;))

Maule: M-7-235

CRJ-200 at ASA

Previously flown:
Grumman AA1-B (Trainers and Tigers), Piper Cherokee, Piper Seminole, C172

CRJ-200 at Pinnacle

If I finally get to the big time, I'm gunning for either a 737 or (as the boss man has now convinced me) a 767.

TBM-700C2

I have an EMB-145 SIC type rating, currently furloughed.

Flew the Piper Chieftain and the Beech 99 a tiny bit before that gig, standard 172's and Seminoles before that.

PIC type Saab 340

1900's SIC

navajo chieftain, 310, Aztruck, super viking, V-tail's, 402, cherokee's, warriors, arrows, mooneys, seminoles, Clipper (taildragger, whoo hoo!), 182, 172, 152, RV-6, Hawker 800, hard to remember them all i guess.

Anyone ever fly a DC-3?

The TBM was alot of fun...I would have love to have flown an 850 with a G1000 panel. The 700C2 was pretty quick...290-295 @ FL260...loved having rudder trim on the yoke (wish the Q400 had that option)...the Airspeed indicator took alittle getting used to (starts at the bottom and goes clockwise).

Hey Guys,

Look I started off on the wrong footing, at Jet Careers. I am really well intentioned. If I have offended anyone on here, I am sincerely sorry.

I am 15 turning 16 in April. I go to a private school in Victoria, Australia. As long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a pilot, my ways have wavered in previous years with military or civilian.

I have so far, as it stands :) chosen to follow through with the civilian option. Now as this is quite expensive, even here in Australia, I thought I could write a book, giving insight into the job of a pilot, military or commercial. That is why I have come to this forum and others, to try and contact pilots. I have been told you guys are very willing to help, but I guess I just needed to describe my intentions a little better.

As it stands at the moment, the book will comprise of the pilots interviews. I will set them out nicely, and will hopefully put in some information about how piloting has changed from 40-50 years ago till now.

It is still in the really early stages, as I wanted to wait for confirmation from pilots to start.

Why? I am only 16 and have started Yr 11 this year. I have always wanted to be an airline pilot from when I was a little boy, but due to the training being so expensive, I thought I could use the money from the book sales to contribute to my training.

I hope this has helped, and if there are any other questions as to my intentions, please just ask :)

Warmest Regards,

Logan Edwards

Logan,

You couldn't have offended anyone. Pilots love to talk about the airplanes they've flown.

Your book project is pretty ambitious. Good luck with it.

By the way, take a good look at the military as a way into flying. :)
