What to bring to the 1st class?

I have a 3rd class already and remember they wanted to know dates of dentist visits (fillings, etc). I can never remember those and am wondering if there is anything/information I should bring to the exam?

The only thing I can think of, is my log book and 3rd class medical?

Anything else?

Thanks, wish me luck!

You don't really need your logbook or your last medical. Pretty much just bring yourself, a full bladder, and your checkbook.

Oh, and if you happened to save a copy of your last application, bring that too so you can check the same stuff off. If you didn't save a copy, save one this time...it'll make renewing next time a lot easier.

Ahhh, good point, I didnt get a copy last time but will make sure I do this time.

Thanks! Will start the bindge drinking in the morning before the appointment!

I don't think you need dental dates. This is straight from AOPA's TurboMedical thingy:

"Health Professionals include physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioner, psychologist, clinical social worker, or substance abuse specialist and reasons for visits include treatment, examination, or medical/mental evaluation. Counseling is reportable only if it pertains to a personal substance abuse or psychiatric condition. If you report a visit to health professionals, it is a good idea to have a report from that treating specialist explaining why you were being seen. You do NOT have to report routine dental and eye examinations or periodic visits to your aviation medical examiner for an FAA flight physical . Also, consultations with employer-sponsored Employee Assistance Programs may be excluded unless the consultations were for substance abuse or psychiatric evaluation or treatment.

Thanks for all the info guys! I got some really really GOOD news today. I did not need glasses and I passed the 1st class medical with no problems!! woohooooo!! After talking to some optometrist two years ago I have been under the impression that my left eye was 20/25 while my right eye was 20/15. Turns out I am good enough to not need specs at all that quack eye doctor that gave me the "free eye exam" just wanted to sell me some glasses for $300+.

One thing I did forget though was my prior medical visits. I forgot to write on there that I had my wisdom teeth removed years ago! Should I worry about forgetting that?
