My daughter had this on her nose one morning. The pediatrician did nothing and it went away in about 2 weeks. The photo on the right was taken first. The left one about a week later. Notice the ring on her left cheek? What the heck was that. BTW this was about 2 years ago now.
 
It looks like a bite or skin infection. The ring on the cheek is probably related.

What time of the year was it? Lyme disease sometimes looks like this.

Don't remember. I could look it up in our records I guess. Since it was over two years ago, can I assume there is nothing to worry about now? (lyme disease that is)
 
Mike, she sure is a cutie. :) When he was about your daughter's age, My son had something similar (with the red ring and all) after we pulled a tick off of him. We watched it closely, and with dad being a physician, we administered prophylactic antibiotics. All turned out well, however whenever my now 19-year old son does something goofy, I have used the ole, "It must have been that tick bite when you were a kid"...:D ;)

Are you surviving the Mr. Mom role right now? That's a very good thing that you're giving your wife a break. :)
