What % of PACE Grads Get PHX??

I am curious as to what the percentage or likleyhood one would get PHX coming out of PACE if they put in for it, or were asked which base they would prefer. Any of you PACE grads know the answer?

From what I've heard from PACE grads that I know, if you have the RJ as your number one choice, you'll probably get it. If you have the Beech as you're number one, it depends on if they need captains or FOs more. You may still get the RJ. Right now most of the grads are going into the RJ based in DEN. PHX is fairly high in seniority, but there have been some guys sent there. No guarantee whether they will still be based there after their IOE.

I don't know your answer for sure, but I have done a lot of research on the program and how the process works. For the most part it all comes down to what Mesa needs at the time and that also dictates the domicile that you will receive. So based on the ground school that you are given decides where and what you will be flying. I don't believe you have a choice at all but I do know that in general higher time pilots get the 1900 so they can upgrade quicker and low timers go to the CRJ. However in this past ground school many San Juaners got the Dash, so it truly just depends on what they need when and if you get hired. Once you are in and have a decent sonority list you can try to bid for different domiciles and equipment.

Keep in mind that just because you do PACE or MAPD, you're not hired. You still have to interview like everyone else.
That being said, right now we're growing and behind the hiring curve. Here's the scoop:

PHX: America West Express base. Dash 8 and CRJs. Newbies are currently being awarded PHX.

DEN: United Express base. Dash 8 and CRJs. Newbies are going here.

GJT: United Express and America West Express Dash 8s. Yeup, even newbies here.

CLT and DCA: ERJ bases for US Airways Express.

PHL: CRJ base for US Airways Express.

The Beech offers outstation basing, and I believe we have 20 or so domiciles for that. Newbies are going everywhere.

And since this thread started Mesa has announced it will now be opening IAD and BNA as CRJ bases, both for United. Those will likely be the 2 most junior bases for a while.

If I flew for Mesa, I'd want to be based at the only two good bases there is: HII and IGM.
