What is 121 , 135 ....

Hi all ,

Relatively new here , and wen looking through the posts , particularly the ones about jobs , i notice alot of :

"121 charter"
"you need 135 freigher job"
"i am corporate ***"

I dont know what these mean , so it would be great if someone could explain these and any other ones i should watch for.

121 and 135 refer to the section of Federal Aviation Regulations under which that person is employed or operates under.

Part 121 is generally considered the air carriers, while 135 is on demand service like freight. These descriptons are vague because there are exeptions to the rule and the regulations are very broad.
