What class medical

BASIC: 2nd and a commercial cert.

If the flight op wants an ATP & 1st then they can ask for that as well, but I don't believe that there is anything that say that you have to have a 1st class medical.
 
1st class medical, but you can have 2nd class privelages(some don't even let you do that). I'm sure it's all insurance driven like everything else.

Ah I just saw the "For 135 ops..." and relayed information about this abortion of an air carrier. What's Airnet's rule? 1st class but 2nd class privileges okay? Something like that. :dunno:

How come some the 135 operators require 1st class when the pilots aren't required per the FARS to hold first class for the type of operations they are conducting. How bout somewhere like ram air frieght and flight express. What do they require to fly the barons and 210?

For the same reason companies want to see 4700 TT 1800 METPIC and 15 shuttle landings when the FAA only wants 1200TT. Because they can.

As I eluded to earlier. INSURANCE. They control everything it seems. Unless you want to pay outragous premiums you do what they tell you.

Edit: mini last I checked they bumped it up to 20 shuttle landings. Good luck getting that seeing they are grounded shortly.

What if I download the shuttle simulator for MSFS?

...can I log that as PIC time if I'm running the engines over-squared with a 141 trained FO and a 61 trained FE?

eligible on-demand 135 ops require an atp & first class medical when pic on a turbo jet aircraft.
