Very cool. I'm based at West Houston Airport (KIWS) a bit to the south of Weiser, but flown there many a time!
 
Indeed a very cool picture. I like how it looks so remote and gives no hint that this is probably the next Houston airport to succumb to urban sprawl.

Actually it kind of already has. There are subdivisions surrounding the north, east and south of EYQ, and 290 is literally right next to it as well. I love the effect of this picture though, if he didn't tell me it was Weiser, I may not have guessed correctly. And this is from someone who has flown there many a time!
 
If you fly out of EYQ, you probably hear me all of the time passing 1 mile S of the airport running a pipeline. I usually pass in the morning or in the mid-afternoon depending on which direction I'm going.

Haven't instructed there in a few months but I remember hearing you all the time! And telling my students "Look out for those crazy pipeline guys all the time!"

You ever fly into or around West Houston (KIWS)? We get pipeline guys fairly regularly, and I'm wondering if I've heard you before!

Haha I don't doubt it! We are all a bit crazy. The person before me didn't even call up EYQ, which was crazy. I started calling when I took over.

I don't fly down there, but I think we may have one route that goes by there. I have heard other pipeline guys down there, just not me.
