I was going to have my MEL checkride today but the DE never showed! I was all pumped up and everything and then I sit and wait and an hour rolls by then I decided screw this Im leaving. Is the same DE giving you the checkride, or have you decided to look elsewhere . . . why did he not show?

Perhaps he should be considerate when he goes to charge you for the checkride if you're sticking with him.
 
If you don't show up, you would most likely have to pay him. Too bad he won't pay you for not showing up.

The DE is actually the dean of the aviation school....so....who pays who is not a concern. However, why he didnt show I still need to find out.
 
It turns out that he just plain forgot.
It wouldnt have been so bad but I wanted to go home and get some winter clothes because its getting pretty darn cold here and the schools policy is that if you dont have a winter jacket if the temp is below freezing you cant fly. With how the weathers going, we are only a few days away form that. burrrr
 
I doubt it, or else the school would have to pay me back, which i doubt they'd do.

But we rescheduled anyways.
