I am looking for a used airline beverage cart. Any airline is fine, it just needs to roll well and have all the doors and compartments closed properly.

I will be using it to serve drinks to passengers on our tourist train operation.

Thanks for any leads,
Tim

They are crazy expensive new like 1k and up depending on how they are configured. ( think they average around 1,500 clams if memory serves me right) AA recycles (some of what they recycle is used to support charities) and one of the things they recycle are old beverage carts, but I have no idea who/where you would call. But I think this is done out of a couple of their hubs.

These guys strip out old aircraft and sell the parts and fixtures, they might have some and you can also try contacting other companies that do the same thing:

You could also contact Alcarts who make a lot of the carts for several carriers and see if they have any used ones.

I think that aircraft boneyards may be your best best.

I did find one used online:

I have one that I would be willing to sell, it is open on one side and has horizontal racks that would hold cans. Dont know if you'd be interested but I will look for some pictures.

does anyone know where to get old airline seats?
ah ha! Picked some up for the ol' dorm room off Craigslist. I'm sure there are better/more reliable sources, but if you happen to be at the right city at the right time..... Might be worth checking.

I remember when US Error got rid of their bev carts because they thought they could get away with charging $2 for a can of crap HFCS GMO corn infested soda to obese Americans they put them up for sale on the employee store website for I believe $75 each. You had to pick them up in PHX. I should have bought a couple - would've been perfect for house parties!

Yes. There was a guy on here selling/buying airline seats a while back by that name; was a fraud.

Haha I guessed it was something like that... I did a web search and was like "what in the world is this, this company doesnt sell seats... "

Yes I am interested - if you have photos of it that would be great.

Where are you located? In Europe you can easy get former swissair or crossair carts, you can get really nice ones for around 800 USD, they are like new, some are repainted into different colors. The same company also sells used ones from different airlines, they are usually in pretty good shape.

They also sell all the cart accessories, like trays, drawers, trash containers and so on

Arizona is littered with airplane scrapyards. But the one that comes to mind would be the refurb place in Goodyear, at the Goodyear Airport. May be a dud, but there's A LOT of airplanes that go in and out of there. Evergreen in Marana may be worth looking into. If they don't have them, I'm sure they'll know who does.

I forget what I paid for it (not much, I know that much), but I picked up some US Airways china and flatware on ebay a few years ago.

The US Airways company store unloaded a bunch of inflight service items a few years ago...Bev. Carts, flatware, duvets, etc.
