Don't mean to hijack this thread but are there cases where after you have been issued a medical for years, your vision deteriorates beyond the ability for glasses to correct for 20/20?
Basically can glasses usually always correct vision to 20/20?
I use that form every year because my AME uses an eye machine from the '50s. I swear there must be a competition amongst them to see who has the oldest setup.

???Dont mean to hijack the thread either but has anyone here tried ortho-k? Supposedly they are special glasses that reshape the lens of your eye to give you better vision. Results are temporary but should be just long enough to pass a medical.

That's the form you can take to your eye doc in lieu of doing the eye test at your next physical.
Ha. That's me too. Heck, if I didn't know it was an E I wouldn't have an answer.I'm glad you posted that. Every year I hate the "ok , now take your contacts out, let's do the eye test. What is the smallest line you can see ?"
"E"
"Ok, put them back in."
I've known someone that lost color vision.OOC, when is the FAA going to stop doing color vision testing yearly? It only needs to be done once. You either are colorblind are you aren't. It never changes.... Right?
