Video

Not real....

My guess is not real. Not that it couldn't be, it just looks like SIM visuals.

Looks pretty real to me. I dont think sims can portray lighting effects that well. Maybe they can, Im not totally sure.

That is definetly borderline at or below minimums. Granted I dont know what the minimums are for that approach or what he's allowed to do. Im guessing he's got about 1/4 to 1/3 mile visibility there. As much as you have to compress some videos to host them, the hazyness of the video itself could be causing an illusion of less visibility.

How can you possibly guess as to the visibility in the video when it's just that - a video... BTW looks real to me.

I guessed at the visibility based on how many approach lights are visible. A MALSR array is between 2,400 and 3,000 feet long, from the first light until the threshold. Therefore, to have half a mile visibility, you ought to be able to see most of the lights simultaneously. To me it looked like you could only see about half the lights, indicating about 1/4 mile visibility.

But as was mentioned, maybe that's the video quality or camera optics or digital compression or something, I don't know. I could be wrong.
