Vets in Blue - jetBlue Job Fair

ClearedForOption

Displaced... again.
With the upcoming First Officer application window opening at jetBlue on March 2nd, one fantastic way to get some good face time with the folks sifting through the applications and pulling people to interview is to attend our job fair, Vets in Blue.

It will be taking place on March 16th this year, 2 sessions. FCFS. Registration is going to begin this Monday, February 16th. and I will post the details and info that we receive for the process when we get it over the next two days.

We have a lot of JC'ers here that work for B6 that can answer your questions about life here like: me (ClearedForOption), @PhilosopherPilot, @kellwolf @SpiceWeasel

Update your logbooks and press your interview suit!

At the November Vets in Blue, it was 2500+ for transport guys, and 1500+ for single-seat. That is, if my memory serves me correctly. Hope to see you there.

Also, don't forget to fill out the application BEFORE going. I've heard of guys going that hadn't done the application yet, and that'll get you spun 180 degrees around and sent out the door. Same happened at the open house invites they did back in 2010. Guys got invited to the open house and didn't take the 20 minutes to fill out the application. Didn't make it past the registration desk. I don't know a lot about the Vets in Blue stuff, but I'm always happy to talk about jetBlue in general if people have questions.

I didn't see any mins on the event details anyone have more info? Managed to get a invite.

If you are a Vet, sign up, follow the instructions on the eventbrite page (for example bring DD214), show up and have a good time!

They will give you a run-down of everything. It's a presentation of the company, what they look for (ie the flight times they like to see but don't require), and a meet and greet. The M&G is your chance to sell yourself into an interview slot!

Talked to a friend who is helping coordinate the event, slots are filling up fast. I might have this backwards, but the afternoon is "full" and the morning is almost topped of. So, if you would like to attend, please click the link and get yourself a slot.

Stupid question but I have to ask. Im a vet but never flew in the military, I was a ground pounder. Does that get me any brownie points?

Curious, I served in '05-'06, with the 28th BCT in Ramadi. Pennsylvania guys. I think that one of the infantry battalions was the 172nd. With your pic, thought you may one of those fellas.

thought it was a great event...amazing how much the company tries to give back and seems to legitimately care about their crew members.
