Can some one tell me if ATP is VA Approved or Not, I see in the latest aopa flight training magazine that they advertise being approved.
Surreal,They are not. None of their courses are conducted under part 141, and as such, none of their courses even qualify for VA approval.
They sure do do a great job trying to make it look as if they do provide VA approved flight training though.

Make sure you read that extremely closely.
I don't really see how they are trying to convince anyone that they are. Nor do I see any potential deception in that page and those statements.ATP does not offer any flight training programs approved by the US Department of Veterans Affairs for education expenses covered under the Montgomery GI Bill.
...flight training included in ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program is not approved for VA reimbursement,
Look at their website this morning. It unequivocally states that veterans can use the GI Bill for the full Airline Career Pilot Program beginning in January of 2009, albeit a "new" Part 141 program?
"In January 2009, veterans will have access to a new FAR Part 141 and VA-approved Airline Career Pilot Program."

Just call them and ask if they accept VA benefits.
On a side note the video in the upper right with the girl in it was starting right as I was finishing in Riverside. She went to XJET in April and I think she got furloughed.
Which even makes their statements more amazing.
The VA will only pay for Post-Private training. . .I yi yi. . .whatever. Those who want to go there will go there anyway, but I just hope some of the wiser service members get some honest guidance before taking their hard earned cash there, and thinking they'll see 60% of it again, only to be left in the dust because they didn't read the fine print. Much like getting a bad mortgage, but not finding out about it until 5 years later.
Whatever.
