Want to Buy Used Cargo Pod for Cessna 206

Need to find an used Cessna C206 Cargo Pod, any conditions!!! as long as it`s not broken in half. Had one booked, but the seller decided to give it to somebody else at the last minute, it needed to go to the South Pacific and we already had freight booked and all....big bummer and loss of face for me with the client in the South Pacific.

Still looking for one, maybe some of the JCers up in AK know of one laying around.
 
Just curious, but why not just buy a new one from Aerocet?
Wouldn't it be difficult to mount a used pod without the STC paperwork anyway?
 
As far as AK goes if anyone pulls one of those of their airplane they're usually doing it to put the AC on floats or something and the pod gets stored in the rafters for a while.

It would also get a whole lot more expensive to ship as it would have to go through the west coast somewhere on a barge unless you're willing to pay the next day air freight on Purple or Brown.
 
I know where there are 2 206s with belly pods sitting with blown engines. No idea if the respective owners are interested in selling or not though.

The Aerocet ones are a bad design, we had one on the 206H, I really hated it....by the time you get the STC and all you will be spending around 7000 $. The 185s are pretty awesome....

In the South Pacific, paperwork doesn`t really matter, as long as you install it with the right mods and you think it`s safe life goes on....the client has already a C206 that came out of the factory with a pod and has the STC for that one.

You think you could gather some info?

Depending on location it`s not that impossible to get things from AK, we got some stuff from Aero Twin Inc shipped to Vanuatu.

We use a freight company out of LA..

Just wondering if you ever found a cargo pod for your client. I have one that was just repainted and looking for a new home. Let me know if your interested.
