Cockpit Nonsense
"Letters" (Thursday, March 3, 2004 USAToday)
"After reading USA TODAY'S recent article on new standards for aircraft flight recorders, I was surprised to learn that some pilots are against video cameras in the cockpit. They do not like the loss of their privacy. However, after a pilot kills an airplane full of passengers due to "pilot error," he has lost his right to privacy ("FAA proposes new airliner 'black box' rules," News, Friday)"
"Any pilot who does not want to use new technology to make the traveling public safer should be fired."
"Pilots may feel that they are high and mighty, but they make plenty of mistakes and need to be watched."
