US Airways Flight Attendants Outraged by Management Profiteering

If you could count on management to do "the right thing," there wouldn't be any need for unions. So if the flight attendants' union reps are waiting around for management to do "the right thing," the flight attendants are probably screwed.

So?!

Outrage and four quarters will make a crisp dollar bill.

As long as labor continues to vote themselves pay cuts, does anyone honestly think management gives a rats arse about "outrage"...

Whatever...

Doug Parker and team wouldn't do that to labor. Were all part of the hometeam in the hometown airline that has "grown up" and is spreading its wings. One family, one team, one airline...say it isn't so man say it isn't so!

:sarcasm:

OK Max, easy on the local PHX news "fluff" pieces!

I still remember the fluff piece the local news did about John Ornstein: "...He's like Phoenix's very own Herb Kelleher! He rides a Harley! Our very own rebel millionaire, tonight, right after Brad Perry does a dumb ass dance and embarasses all black people statewide just for your viewing pleasure!"

That was more of a montage of local fluff peices.

Because you know what we need right now is: "A montage..what really need is a montage." And those are the only lyrics that I remember from that song.

Oh have you heard the latest "scare peice" I know you have only been back in town for a few hours but ch #12 is running it:

"All year we wait and wait then it happens...a monsoon tune into learn how to protect you and your family from these deadly summer storms."

All with the tone of a movie trailer announcer.

Then you gotta love the one about the weather reporter who always has his eyes to the sky and when walking is to busy staring at the sky to notice two scandly clad bikini models tossing a beach ball and two people dressed as penguins fighting...I hate local news.

Oh, have you heard the channel 12 dramatic fire music?

You know, when the music starts, the news ends...

LOL...I hate channel 12 but they unfortunately are the best news station here in town which isn't saying much. Or it's local town hero :sarcasm: Kent Dana over on news 5!

All of the local news in PHX is a joke. Sadly, less of a joke than most other markets. You should watch the news in Orlando.

Is Channel 3 still as annoying and shallow as ever? I don't get to watch it anymore since I was banished to TN.

arizona mornings on ch#3. I always forget that, that is a channel on the tv as their only good for Opera or Dr. Phill or Seinfield reruns when their not airing a news broadcast. How bout something refreshing like...original broadcast material!

But who would I hear about Brangelina from?

True...don't get me started on celebrities and the fake relationship and affairs or children they use or fake to keep the public enthrawled off camera as well...disgusting!

And the new outlets that pander to them uhhhhghhh...

That's when you hold you nose, speak monotone and say "Tonight...on access hollywood...new pictures of Tom Cruises baby... but first papparazzi, are they out of control...tonight..."

Definately double speak! LOL!

:insane:

This is why I say thank God for the BBC and New Zealand news. It is pathetic that I have to find out about important stuff that's happening in my own country on news outlets that are based across the pond or on the other side of the world!

Sounds very much like the Charlie Tutt/Bryan Labrecque road show going on over at ASA. "We're too expensive"....."We need to be able to compete"....."Must lower our costs"......"Pilots must accept concessions for growth", etc, etc, etc. Despite record prifits I might add.

Just came out Bryan got himself over $800,000 in bonuses recently...despite being just about the worst rated airline in every measurable category! Way to go guys!!!!!

If Charlie Tutt's lips are moving, chances are he's after money.

We've already had the pleasure of dealing with him.
