Does UPS have a similar inner recomendation program into their avaition department similar to FedEx?

Thanks!

Ah The Good Old Boy's Club. :bandit:

It's hard to find a way to work it safely, but I wouldn't mind working part-time as a sorter for UPS. Easily said, very difficult to do and fly full-time.

If somebody got his/her foot in the door this way, kudos to them. They probably have a back-ache and an ex-spouse :sarcasm:, but they deserve all their hard-earned success.

Crossing fingers for future career @ UPS. I have met a few guys that fly for UPS, Sounds like a great company to work for.

Yes.

You pretty much can't get a line pilot job at UPS without an internal recommendation.

Sweet, not that I will be there till I have enough time to get hired by UPS (and even at that, I have no clue where I want to end up), but I think I'll be applying there this week as a helper. Either way, pays decent and great benefits that a 17 year old really couldn't get anywhere else. Thanks Don!

I think that Don and you are talking about two different things. I'm reading Don's response as a pilot applicant needs a letter of recommendation from someone currently flying for the company. You, on the other hand, are asking about working for the company in a non-pilot position, and if that will give you an "in" when you apply to be a pilot some time down the road, right?

While your working for UPS may well give you some contacts that will be useful at the proper time, I might suggest you clarify how all that works with Don.

On the other hand I could be all wet. If so, disregard. :D

Don,

I jumpsat on the 76 the other day DFW-ONT... The FO was a guy you had flow with just a few weeks earlier.

Can't remember his name... but I think it was Chris something. Younger guy... really nice.
