Up late? Bored? A380 live....

While I'm not a HUGE fan of the A380, it was pretty cool seeing it finally take off after years of anticipation.

I wonder why they didn't retract the gears? My guess would be that they were more concerned with safety then in-flight performance, but I'm not too sure.

I thought just for fun I would read what some people on a.net would have to say about this event. I was not surprised....

May be they don't want to disappoint their customers if the landing gear gets jammed on their first flight-
Then the pilots will be trouble shooting something else instead of gathering analysis of the test plan-

The French A380 crew upon arrival in Germany, surrendered peacefully.

No, the A380 is not the prettiest airplane in the world, in fact, some have said that it looks like a Manateeb or even Shrek. This was part of a discussion on airliners.net, some of the European airliners.net members were pissed, gotta admit, I was chuckling over some of the posts.

I admit its a great thing that it was successful but until the end, im a boeing fan and supporter....no scarebuses as much as possible...
