Unwilling to move

I'm having a hard time and I put it into my word choices on this thread. I'm sorry. Some things are a matter of perspective and only looking for the negatives about my situation is a mistake.

I'm going to 'unwatch' this thread to stop receiving notifications. Thanks to everyone who helped. To the sarcastic, the dismissive, and the political-statement making ones, no thanks. But I wish you well.

To the imaginary people reading such a "very very important thread" I wish you luck in your careers and hope you have good chances and opportunities along the way.

Don't let people lock you into groupthink, especially when they have an influence from being on the inside, higher numbers, better info, and so on. It's not worth living as someone's little rat. (No matter how many times you have to spend money and randomly move in order to win the dwindling number of tickets to the sweet spot job where no one would give up their spot. )

Don't get pointlessly triggered like me either. As you can see it diminishes one's credibility and turns you into everyone's favorite joke. That just means they're weak and need an outlet. Their life is hard.

It's not because they're a piece of garbage. There's no chance of that. And if there really is a vague invisible person reading this thread who has an account and requires a hypocritical parade from a bunch of internet strangers I recommend you make an account and actually talk to some of them.

It will be much more informative.

Good gawd-amighty, you received dozens of intelligent responses from a number of people with both industry and life's experience to a query you initiated and dismissed nearly every single one of them in a couple of threads which you began.

No way to say this differently that I can think of, and if it gets be a slap on the wrist, I'm still saying it: You are an ass.

Maybe you'll grow-up and learn🤷‍♂️

Ive read alot of this guy’s post. Not sure if he is trying to make a mockery of pilots and dispatchers, or is simply too immature to make it in our profession.

One second he gets a ‘student pilot’ certificate to realize he doesn’t want to be a pilot….next second he wants to be a dispatch but only work for his own dispatching company.

Clearly this guy is aloof, an ass or a troll. He needs to go.

I think that some of us should just "slow the roll" a bit. Phenom may have some social interaction struggles, possibly spectrum related, and often posts impulsively, (granted all of those are just my opinion), but I don't believe he's an intentional troll.

If I'm correct, then he's not blatantly violating house rules, and calls for banning are unwarranted. ( @derg may, of course, override my conclusion.)

Remember that how each of us choose to deal with, eh...a "non-typical" user is also a reflection on ourselves. As I've been known to use derision and condescension on occasion in the past, and on (very rare ) occasions regretted it later, I can speak from experience.

I’ll add that I’ve had one on one interactions with him and in my opinion he’s a real person.

@Flyinthrew’s hypothesis could certainly be true, but other than that possibility, I too am a little baffled by the outrage over what to me seemed like a reasonable career suggestion. Don’t have to move to be an FA. They make ok money after a while, with (at least at my shop), quite a bit of schedule flexibility.....frankly a lot more flexibility than we currently have on the pilot side

Got a big problem. It turns out I won't move for work in aviation.

What's the chances of starting a 121 dispatch company?

Can't be a pilot and way too long to get a BS (bullseet haha) degree in Airport Management

Won't move for work as a dispatcher

Ground Ops is dirty and poor

Can I make it? Dispatchers are the nicest ppl in aviation. Please give advice

I can also do a consultancy but that takes longer than a degree to get schooled on it

Thanks
Also I'm not too bad at weather , could I be an aviation weatherman?
Are you a real boy?
