Since it's mid-August and October is literally just around the corner, I thought i'd start up an *unofficial* itinerary.. get your ideas & suggestions on what you'd like to do for the weekends activities.

granted, only the *official* NetworkJC event is sponsored by Jetcareers. All other activities would be "on your own" as in paid for and/or attended.

So, Friday night - we're looking at doing dinner somewhere(?) and then the introductory gathering at 9 Fine Irishmen in NYNY around 9pm.

Saturday is up for grabs until 6pm when NetworkJC begins

Saturday night after NetworkJC is up for grabs (probably around 8ish). Last year, we attended a karaoke show, sang a bit, laughed A LOT, drank too much and ended the night with a "walk the strip" casino/bar crawl.

Sunday is also up for grabs...

suggestions on what you'd like to do?

Sounds good so far!!!

Who wants to go hike in the desert with me on Friday?

Yea Tony ummmm just let me know what part of the NV desert you'll be in and I'll call the paramedics out for you well in advance.

P.S. Remember what happened last year with the hike up Red Rock?

Hey, just because I couldn't find the damn place (that's the last time I'll trust someone at the desk who says, uh, yeah, I kinad know where that is) doesn't mean there isn't a lot of nice desert terrain to hike in.

I DID go later that day, you know.

Red Rock Canyon

I'm thinking I could have a lot of fun scrambling up and down those rocks again, or maybe go here

Valley of Fire

But I'm crazy like that!

One of the advertisers, unofficially, is going to hit NetworkJC hard this year. I sense some building excitement.

Oh, don't tell us that Doug is going to make us play the guessing game, ahhhh!!!

he must be cuz he hasn't even told me yet! hahaha

a hike might very well be a good idea this time since october is a cooler month!

I'd be up for golfing if there's somewhere we can rent clubs (i don't own any and will finish lessons in a few weeks).

Ummmm okay...so that means it will only be 110 instead of the customary 118 it normally is in the desert of LAS!

Dude, it wasn't bad at all. I went hiking for about two hours and I was fine. Come on, man. We're not talking about dropping someone off in the middle of Death Valley and saying hike on back.

If nobody else wants to do it and everyone wants to sit in an air conditioned hotel, that's fine. I'll do it by myself again, no worries.

But you don't know what you're missing out on.

The problem for me last year wasn't so much the hiking as it was the hangover. I don't suspect that will change much this year!
