United troubles

Just read were, long story short, United is bleeding money in the billions still. How much longer can they last like this. They also havent come up with much of a plan it seems from the outside. USAirways had a nice plan to clean on some ineffeciency and it seems to be working from their 2Q results. Whats the fate of Untied?
