Media hits again. It looks like (especially 27R) they taxied around the last high speed and slid into the grass, which downhill there can happen even at a slow speed. No the plane didn't run off the end of the runway, sounds like it dragged the outside mains into the mud and got stuck.

Cessna 172, N8952B, Skywalker Aviation: Accident occurred August 22, 2015 on Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida

After the wreckage was recovered the engine was started and run at full power. Review of a carburetor icing chart revealed that atmospheric conditions around the time of the accident were conducive to icing at glide and cruise power. When asked if he had used carburetor heat during his descent prior to the loss of engine power, the pilot advised that he had not used it.
