United Goes Leather.

It's a lot nicer to have leather when you are doing the aircraft security check. The velcro that holds the cushions down doesn't stick to other parts of the seat.

I love greasy hair marks on the headrests of leather seats :panic:

And if you fart the leather amplifies the sound, whereas mesh absorbs it. :(

Those seats could be made of the softest fur and they would still suck. UAL has among the worst leg room in the biz.

Not a fan of the leather. They get all greasy and stuff. And if you sit in the seat for a long period of time you leave butt marks.

Haha

And if its really warm in the plane, peoples will leave nice puddles of sweat.

Those are the things that get me, for the most part. In the end, though, it's more that I don't like the sticking feeling you get if it gets warm at all, which generally isn't a problem when I fly.

We've had both. Leather lasts longer and is easier to clean. I much prefer leather.
I'll agree with that. Eitehr way, the grime is there. Leather is just easier to see, and clean.

From George Carlin RIP:

The Safety Lecture continues. “In the unlikely event of a water landing….” Well what exactly is a ‘water landing?’ Am I mistaken, or does this sound somewhat similar to crashing into the ocean? “Your seat cushion can be used as a floatation device.” Well, imagine that. My seat cushion! Just what I need — to float around the North Atlantic for several days clinging to a pillow full of beer farts!

I think this sums up the debate nicely, leather repels beer farts!
