United Big Metal Bird Featuring the importance of Dispatchers. :)

Would have been nice if the scenes supposedly depicting dispatchers were actually filmed in dispatch but they weren't. I think they filmed it all in Denver and all the computers you see are actually ones for station ops people. Oh well, at least the profession gets some positive coverage.

Yeah, it didn't look like the Chicago office at the Willis Tower. Other episodes do show that control center. It's kind of an interesting series, but the comments on Facebook and responses by United specifically with the FA episode are hilarious.

Yeah, I guess the extra day of flying/filming was too much to ask. Pretty lame considering the cost to fly the filming crew there is basically zero for United and there are tons of flights every day between DEN and ORD. Oh well, life goes on.
 
And you'd think the "Senior Manager, Domestic Dispatch Operations" wouldn't be ok with them playing off that DEN Ops Agents are Dispatchers. But I guess it shouldn't be a surprise considering that was a paid day to go fly space positive to DEN.

Maybe the dispatchers didn't have the personalities that they were looking for on camera. Or, when they were filming the OCC in Chicago, they forgot about the dispatchers and decided to include them later on? If you get a chance, watch the entire series. I think there were a few seconds showing dispatchers in the NOCC.

We have plenty of personalities in dispatch. From the ones that will sit there and not say a word their whole shift to the ones that should have been on medication years ago and everything in between.

Sometimes they are one and the same person.:);):(:mad::confused::cool::p:eek::oops::rolleyes::def::cry::bang:


I'm sure they could have found one!!!
