As the title says. Looking to buy a UFM/Bose setup. Heard good things about them, thought I'd give it a try. Might pull double duty to drown out the screaming kids on the commutes to work and back as well lol!

It is a great setup that I have used in the Saab, 727, and now then Airbus. It works great. It is also awesome on the commutes when you just want some piece and quiet

They have a new version coming out that will work with the newer Bose headsets.

Yeah I just got my setup and love it! Light, quiet and good on the repos on the cattle car. Make sure you have plenty of AAA batteries lol as many have said. I can't wait till he Harmony comes out for the QC25.

You could probably take bids for your UFM since they are hard to get these days and not in production.

I've got a TSO'd version. I'd trade the ufly mike and QC15 for a new pair of QC25s

UFM has been talking about an upgrade for well over a year now, might be another yr or two before word of some kind of production start date.

By then Bose will have a "QC45" available in the market. I wish UflyMike could speed things up a bit. Demand is high. But demand is not infinite. Bose could develope their own adapter for "QC35/45."

So I wonder if Bose legal team, the FAA, or both are causing the delaying for QC25 adaptability.

I doubt Bose would have any say in the matter.

The FAA could be the hold up in the TSO version.

Remember this isn't a big Company doing this. It's just a few girls and guys that made the uflymike.

I'll have to confirm when I get home tomorrow exactly which versions of each I have, but shoot me your offer via pm.

@badtransam97 Go on their website, you can get the set up directly from them due to the delays with the new set up. They're doing a couple production runs to make up for the delays - that's how I got mine, and love it.

If anyone is still looking for a uflymike, I'm selling mine. I've used it on two trips.

I was planning on keeping the QC15, but if you want the QC15 and uflymike, I would be willing to sell both.

Uflymike: $200
QC15 / uflymike: $300

God it was so annoying for everyone else though.

Microphone boom doesn't stay put, so the user's voice volume is wildly unpredictable depending on where the microphone happens to be located at that second. So it's usually a "what?" and then the user grabs the boom, holds it in place, and repeats the statement.

And that stupid green light. Flying at night with a person shining a green light at you off the side of their head is one of the most annoying things in the world.

The most annoying thing in the world is the squelch. None of the UFM guys seem to know they can adjust it, and leave it full open blasting ambient wind noise.

very funny Adler....Very Funny....At least I wasn't the one that had to ride side saddle.

You are the first person I have ever heard complain about them. The 727's didn't exactly have the best intercom system in the world, a lot never had intercoms.

I've flown with guys that had them as well and never experienced the programs you did. Only version 2 of the UFM has mic sensitivity adjustment. Version 1 was preset at the factory. I personally find the POS ship supplied headsets with no mic muffs to the annoying headset in planes.

Dual qualified homie - more valuable than just the run of the mill FO. They thad to pair the best up with the new guys and so I got stuck engineering for you... and who signed off on your training records?

Seriously though, every plane I've been, if I see a guy unpack a UFM I know it's going to be a long trip.
