Are professional sports charters not staffed via seniority?

They are mostly. But remember, in almost all cases, a crew member is owed the pay and credit for a trip they can hold, but no rights to a actually flying it. It's pretty routine where I'm at for all the inaugural and other "special" flights to be awarded to the senior pilots who bid or request them but end up getting flown by certain management pilots because.... reasons.
 
Plaintiff's were looking to get in on the Dodgers cashola!! I'm sure the Dodgers organization had a tacit understanding with United that they really wanted blonde white girls....:rolleyes:
 
I am fascinated from a legal perspective how a client's specific wishes were to impact claims of racial discrimination under federal laws. If a client were to specifically request skinny white FAs, you could argue that United isn't the one discriminating, the client is - which isn't something that's federally prohibited.
 
Aren’t most baseball players Dominican/Cuban/South American & black? Yeah.. I don’t think they like thin girls.

MLB is mostly white. Black (American) numbers continue to fall. In 2019, Dodgers had no blacks on their team.

MLB:
  • White - 57.5%
  • Hispanic - 31.9%
  • Black - 7.7%
  • Asian/Other - 2.9%

Ok, sure, if that's the extent of it... ok, agreed. Still, Ever flown ANY US/Mainline code-share Real Airline Partner internationally to anywhere? If you're going international, ditch the US flag and get the international partner flight... For MANY, many reasons, not just the friendly, service-oriented FAs. It's similar to most of the senior US Mainline Captains... they've been "flying" the same hour so many thousands of times they've forgotten why they're even sitting in the cockpit anymore. Still, they really, really NEED to be there, 'cause their exquisitely entitled, just-oughta-172 FOs have even less idea why they are sitting in one of the two seats at the pointy end of an actual airliner. (What's a line again?)

As flight attendant age/body type/gender was never a concern in the slightest with NBA charters, I have a hard time believing the MLB operates this way lol.

I'd even go so far as to venture that this is before a court because AFA went "what, you got paid, right?"
 
I remember CLAs 727. I'm sure nothing untoward ever happened on those sports team charters.
