[TD]Just heard United is hiring dispatchers for a class of 15 (FIFTEEN!) starting in November. To apply, go to https://ual-pro.taleo.net/careersection/10140/unavailablerequisition.ftl and you will see a message "This Job is no longer available." Don't let this discourage you - click on the italicized words "Return to the Home Page" and from there where it says "keywords" type "dispatcher" and hit the "Search for jobs" button below. So, for those of you who have a couple years experience and don't mind cold winters, or working in downtown Chicago come next May, apply away! I think their minimum used to be 2 years of 121 experience, but I would say that if you're not sure, go ahead and apply anyhow...because if you don't ask, the answer is always no.

Someone I know got a phone call today from UAL regarding an interview. Anyone else hear back yet? Keep us informed!

I know someone that has his UA interview this Thursday (10-27) and then CO on Friday (10-28).

Guess he is covering all bases. LOL!!

Out of curiosity, what kind of experience do your friends have that got phone calls? Just want to know when I should start comsidering applying for some majors.

He has around 10 years, did regionals for a few years then off to one of the supplemental carriers to get the international/etops experience

Thanks, thats actually the exact same path I am on right now just not quite as many years. Im hoping the supplemental ETOPS will help me in the future.

Dead thread coming back to life!

It might be a good idea to update your resume and keep your eyes on United careers website.
