Oh that's a pretty average day! :)

I was born and raised just south of Visalia.

When does the twr close? heh heh

In FAT we would have to climb to as high as 4,000 to get a horizon.

Yeah, this is my 5th year here in the valley so I am used to it now. I just have never seen a report of 0SM before. It has been M1/4SM FG since 9pm last night.

1. Wake up.
2. Look across the street
3. Can't see the house
4. Turn on PBS
5. See "Tulare Joint Unified School District" scroll across the bottom of the screen
6. Back to bed.
7. School at 1100

:)

Ouch! I'm sorry...:tease:

Do I get in trouble if I diss on the boss man?

Visalia was our 50nm x-c airport of choice for students, mainly because they couldn't get lost. Just follow hwy 99 and then land.

Yeah, my kid had a school delay too so we didn't wake him up and then at 8:30 this morning he comes out the the living room with a puzzled look on his face and says "Hey, why didn't anyone wake me up? I was suppose to be at school 1/2 hour ago."

I called a briefer on Christmas eve a few years back and she reported Tule fog. I was new to the area so this was a foreign concept.

"When do you expect it to clear?" I ask her.

"Sometime between April or May."

So Tule fog is a literal reason for lack of education in the SJ valley.

It's the "easy a" by taking ag, studying Oceanography at Cal Poly SLO for 13 months and expecting a rewarding career at the Wal Mart supercenter.

The dispatcher printed it out and was showing us because he had never seen it either.

I can't stand that string of pink blank beads.

I'll bet your airspace was a little quiet this evening wasn't it? :)
