Makes one wonder if guys should go flying more than once every three weeks. It's like congress thinks flying a "routine low level" is something easy to do. They need to end sequester.

They already undid a good bit of it. But I agree with Pete.

The Senate approved the annual defense policy bill on December 20, one of its final actions before leaving for the Christmas break.

The act authorizes a Pentagon base budget of $526.8 billion in the 2014 fiscal year. That amount will have to be reconciled early in the new year with the $498 billion agreed to in the budget deal.

Not that I disagree with you, but with what money?

There is plenty of money. They just need it to be the right color.

I've been fortunate to have never seen my own squadron's budget cut to the point that guys couldn't remain current AND proficient. Training is a fund that, IMO, should never get cut. Our type of flying is a whole lot more perishable than the civilian world.
