Top 10 Airlines

I really hate it when an anti-American or liberal bias is used to rate airlines.

[/ QUOTE ]

I really hate it when idiots like yourself equate "liberal" with "anti-American".

While I agree with what you said aloft that response was unduly harsh!
Dial it back this isn't Flightinfo.

Beside the reasons that have been memtioned before, imho

, there is a big difference in attitude for those airlines. The difference is the basic attitude. True, all airlines want to make more money. However, top 5 airlines provice quality service not only to attract customers. The quality of service also reflects on their countries as whole. In Chinese saying, they are afraid of "losing face". Nothing to do anti-American or Liberal-bias.

You got it, adreamer. Take a look at the list. Ten airlines, and eight of the ten are based in either Asia or the Middle East, where the culture is very fixated on saving face.

And the other two (QF & BA) are from cultures fixated on getting off your face

!!!!!

QANTAS's high rating can't be based on domestic economy class, it's not as bad as it was 4-5 years ago but it still doesn't rate. Mrs Timmypig flies to HK for work and she rates business class in the order displayed, at least for the airlines she's used - Cathay, then QANTAS, then Malaysian.

It’s all about what your willing to pay for over the minimum fare for the extras. Personally I'd probably pay an extra $10 bucks for the extra legroom that AA offers, and I'd certainly pay extra to get better service than what I got on America Worst (West) those flight attendants were terrible. "Oh I'm sorry to interrupt your day by boarding your aircraft" That and the fact it was on a scarebus didn't help much either.

That would be offered, as in past tense. American took it out.

If you want the extra legroom, you gotta go with United. But just like everything else, you have to pay for it. You either have to put your butt on their metal enough to qualify for the e-plus seats or you have to pay the higher priced coach fares.

Seems like that's one thing they do that makes sense there. Want the extra legroom? Either fly us a lot or pay for it.

It works, too. If the prices are comparable, I'll gladly pay a few dollars more for that extra room.

Oh gag.

First of all, the FA's are there for safety. You probably paid 200 for your ticket, so you get what you pay for.

About the airbus, they're much safer to fly when compared to any piston twin or single you've flown.

Well they may be there 'only for safety' on that airline, but they won't be getting my business again. They won't win any repeat customers that way. Besides SouthWest has rock bottem prices with a smile to boot. And being friendly certainly doesn't cost them anything. They forget that without passingers there is no airline.

Americans do pay & would pay for quality, problem is that the airlines have not provided any sort of quality for over 20 years, perhaps even longer.

I just rode United Business class & it was ok, nothing special, I have also been riding United Airlines for quite some time.

US Airlines have lost focus on Customer Service.

Did you notice that Jetblue is on the list and has the highest load factor of the US Airlines.
