Time building

Ok, here is the question. Lets say that you get everything done at Pan Am just as advertised and you come out in 10 months and 280 hours or whatever. then you get hired right away as a flight instructor. With the hiring mins being about 12-1500 hours how many months will it take you to build this time?

How many hours does the average instructor at pan am build per month right now.
 
well if everything went accorrding to the advertising you'd be an airline pilot in 11 months

New hire instructors at DVT in Phoenix are averaging 15 to 30 hours a month. One would be looking at instructing for 3+ years to meet minimums.
 
I have hopefully never revealed personal information that would lead to a non-anonymity status. That said, I must admit to being a big fan of French Noir movies and break dancing to the music of P.M. Dawn.
 
As a new instructor at Pan Am FPR I have been getting around 80-90 hours per month. But I think that is because I am in the Chinese section. Instructors in the FAA section are getting less.
 
I was at Pan Am DVT for awhile, and the last instructor I had, who was working with me on my commercial single engine, had been an instructor for 11 months and had put 300 hours in his logbook as an instructor. None of that time was multi engine. I know things are getting a little better around there, some people are moving on to regionals freeing up some positions... but if you plan on going to Pan Am and instructing there, I'd say go in to it thinking you'll be there for 3- 4 years... and if you're only there for 2, all the better!
