I know at least a handful of those contraband are stuff pilots forgot were in their bags and got searched. If I had a dime for every time I forgot my pet python was with me....

Actually, I think that selling weapons without a license is technically illegal. Is it?

No. Private individuals can sell their own personal property (including firearms) to other private individuals.

A license is require to "engage in the commerce" of selling firearms, e.g. as a business.

If TSA did sell confiscated firearms, you could purchase them and later sell them without any license.

In most states, not even so much as a bill of sale is required for a person to sell a firearm (not so in Cali, though).

I just went on. they have over 335k followers now. Thing that bugs me is, they have statements on there that are clearly not standard across the board from one airport to another. For eg. in one airport you can keep on your watch going through the body scanner whilst another you have to.
