How are they treating the recall-ees? When I went thorugh recall class in '02 it was really pathetic, all "oh, we're so happy you're back.....blah blah blah" totally blowing sunshine you-know-where. It was nice to have a job again, but I wish they'd have just let us do our drills and get back to work.
 
So far no one at work (training center) has mentioned the furlough returnee status. But the new Captain that I'm partnered with, and another Captain that we went out to eat with a week ago haven't let me buy my own meal or a beer yet! I keep telling them that I can pay, they keep telling me not to worry about it! I anticipate that stopping shortly after going back on the line.

Gosh, I think Joe's (Empero) there too in one of the "come back from furlough" classes, I can't remember what equpt type he's going back on.. but he was supposed to start groundschool on the first of the month (October).

Doug, isn't he back in *school* now?
 
I think Joe's already done with MD-88 requal.

He called from the hotel on his day off and he was out at the pool with a bunch of other returning furloughees enjoying some barley sodas.

Oooh, A period.... that sucks big time.

Bill's got an afternoon appointment to do a quick requal session. Shouldn't be in there more than an hour, just gotta get his landings done. Even gets to do it as a day trip, he'll be back home that night.
