I quoted Corporal Ferro today "In the pipe, five by five" ... and got a blank stare from both my tour manager and my dispatcher. When I tried to show them the scene, the tour manager asked "Is that star wars?"...

Dude, it's everywhere. I said an "Airplane" quote the other day and both the captain, and jumpseater, who was also a captain, had no clue what I was saying. When I had to explain it was from "Airplane," they both admitted to having never seen that movie. One even went so far as to say, "He makes it a point to not watch that stupidness."
I had nothing more to say to them. Had to sit there and listen to them reminisce about being squadron mates the rest of the flight. @Derg I don't know if I can last til October for upgrade school!
