The Applied MATH Section! HELP....

Can someone please tell me if the math section of the AT-SAT asks you questions like: What is the speed or What is the time? I wanted to know because I read a post where the guy was like all you need to know is knots and D=S*T. Well if they ask you other questions beside what is the distance than I will need to know more things. I read where the green book's version is different, but I would like to know how different. Please give serious advice, I want to succeed! Thanks! :)

Didn't you just post on the other thread that you are REtaking the test?

I'd hope you'd know what to expect

I am re-taking the test. It has been a year though, because I am in school I still have other test that I take. ;) You can never be too prepared.

It's all distance/time/speed. For instance, they will ask you questions like "If your aircraft is traveling at 240 knots, how far will it travel in 1 hour and 20 minutes?" Most of the questions follow this format. Some are more complicated, but are still basically the same. The StuckMic.com study guide is an excellent resource for the Math.

:yeahthat::yeahthat: You will do just fine.

so i thought i would compile a list of resources for others having trouble with the applied math.

-stuckmic.com has an atsat study guide to download, which i personally feel was the closest to the actual test.

-atc-sat.com has a package of study tests for 30 bucks. it was really worth it to me. the math section was a little easier, but still good practice and really does a good job of explaining ground speed and true airspeed.(plus you get practice tests for the letter factory!!!)

-there's the popular green book. i didn't use it, but it seems to be the most popular and i think you may be able to get it at the library???? not sure on that one. you can get it on amazon i know.

-also here is a link for a download that i found really helpful as well. http://forums.jetcareers.com/applic...nouncements/67879-sat-math-prep-download.html
