The $100 Hamburger

Well all in all it was really $250.

I took my fiance on a cross-country flight down to MIV. The resturant was open this time. The weather was fantastic and the burger was pretty good too.

Some novelty:

I love flying!

I miss Millville! The chicken strips there are my favorite of any restaurant, anywhere. We gotta take a flight down there, or some other burger run place, soon!

Awesome. If you have some down time and want to take a day trip to ACK with me let me know. I am dying to make that flight.

Consider it done...er, happening. :D I've got a buddy who lives there, I'll see if he can hook us up with anything.

:yeahthat: I haven't been there in awhile. Always a great place

Looks delicious!! Have not flown into MIV yet, but looks like a fun airport. Heard that there is normally a person on the airport advisory freq working like an unofficial ATC. Is that true?

I was just down there for Breakfast a couple of weeks ago. Great place. You also have to try the Flying W in Lumberton.

And yes, They provide traffic advisories, no control. There is no radar. Basically, they will let you know who else has checked in and is in the vicinity.

Also a huge fan of 26n, Ocean City, great breakfast and short walk to the beach.

Thats a good service for a busy non-towered field.

Why do airport restaurants always have the lousiest hours?

I'm glad to hear someone else wonder that. I've wondered the same thing.

The diner at Fredericksburg is GREAT, but the hours are so limited that when it's open (on weekends) the airport gets to be VERY busy, VERY quickly.

Oh I hear you. Darn near everyone I've been to at GA fields are open for breakfast, yet have limited lunch hours and usually non-existant dinner hours. Exception being the italian food place at KFFZ, Anzio's Landing, but its not a "classic" aiport restaurant, but moreso a regular restaurant that just happens to be located on an airport. At Anzio's, the taxiway leads to parking out front.
