Thanks Craig!

GUYSH! GUYSH! GUYSH!
Thanks for everything Max and I had a blast in the sims! Would post some of the pics, but my phone's currently dead and we had a fun electrical failure so we're in SBN till the morning.

May not be able to do single engine approaches with out the command bars but i didnt mess this one up yet!

Again, thanks!

OH man!

That sucks about the electrical failure, but I am glad you enjoyed the sims!

You did a damn fine job, but those raw data 1800 single engine approaches are not easy when you are not used to the airplane.

It was a pleasure meeting you all and hope you get home safe!

Hey Max, glad you could make the trip!

Guys hope it was a good time and you enjoyed it!

BTW max landed both a Citation 650 and Citation 560XL without redscreening anything.

COngrats man! Considering you have like 10 hours total time that is very very good!

Just a suggestion...lets call Max Manche. "Max Manche", because I was intially confused as to how I in anyway helped a 17 yr. old highschool kid!

Just a suggestion...

Yeah, Craig is a hell of a guy.

Sorry I couldn't meet you out there DPAPilot. I would've stayed had I got the PM while I was at work, but I didn't get it till I got home.

Looking forward to the pics. Sounds like you guys had a great time. Did Craig unlock one of the TR's in flight and make you shoot an ILS with it deployed? :)

Nah, just a V1 cut, secured the engine and shot an ILS with a RVR of 1800. I did fine until about 500-1000 feet. Not so easy without the flight director! Went missed and gave the a/c to max and miraculously our engine somehow relit ;)

Here's a few, mike has a bunch he'll post later.

I think that's it. All I took on the iPhone. Was too busy flying for a change! Haha so yeah Craig, you got to meet John. He's um... Interesting. Haha

Johns a good guy, I shouldve put him in the saddle :)

If you guys ever want to come back and fly the X on motion or the Hawker, we can def. organize something.

Tell me more of this electrical failure you experienced on the way back!

We'd live to come back! We'll be there next weekend (kidding)

Basically the left generator quit a a day or two ago ao we tried to fix it but didn't have the tools, alright, we have another generator that works fine. So we get to TOL no problmes. Depart, no problmes. 40-50 miles out approach says they aren't receiving our xpdr. We've had that problem before so we Check the cb's and switch xpdrs. No luck. Then the heater quits. Check circuit breakers. Then the gps 2 fails. Ok we know we have an electrical failure. Tell atc, they give us a Podunk airport, we ask for something a bit more "active". Get SBN. 40 miles away. Get there fast as poop, and get a clearance. Put the gear down, what usually takes 20 seconds takes 2 minutes. Finally a green light. Touchdown, nice an smooth. No lights. Taxi to Atlantic and bat dies. Get a hotel, drink some, meet some "country folk" and come back in the morning. Belt went to poop on generator 2. Get a new belt and it works, we made it home. That's the gist of it. Pardon spelling failures and a single paragraph, iPhone and thumbs do only so much. As for the V1cut

Or... how about we call you "Matt" because that's what your real name is.

Just a suggestion....

:)

Isn't this the trip you had told me about and asked me if I wanted to come along? Then you go WITHOUT me??? Not cool, man! NOT COOL! :)

Looks like fun, though. Let me know next time when you take one of these trips.

Cheers!
