Telex 5x5

Anyone use this headset? I just bought it as a cheap replacement for my cheap telex 750 that broke.

So far I'm 0 for 2 in our company airplanes - main issue is a weak mic with ATC. Also the thing has a lot of background noise in the earpiece.

Wondering if that's just how these headsets are or if I got a dud.

They were by far the worst headsets I have ever owned. I used them a half dozen times and then gave them away.

I can confirm that. This thing is garbage. I found somewhere online people that actually liked it, so I'd like to talk to them. It just plain doesn't work.

Also, for a lightweight headset it really excels at acting like a vice grip on my temples.

Guess I'll return it and buy a Telex 750 to hold me over until the Ufly Mike is in stock.
